When we bought our house twelve years ago it had a massive deck on the back that was falling apart. We removed the top on one section and turned that lumber into a smokehouse. The 'fenced' part of the deck (topless deck) became our shaded, deep mulch pig raising pen. Using wood mulch or straw is the secret to having no smell. We raised pigs here for years with airbnbers in the basement with the windows open during the summer with no complaints. Use what you have guys!
