Hi everyone! I have a 24’ camper frame that I would love to build a tiny home on. I am a licensed general contractor in NC but I have zero experience with building on a metal trailer frame. I’m not sure if it needs reinforcing before I begin or where to find all of the things I’ll need to complete the project. If anyone has info or could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
Here is a starting point
https://thetinylife.com/tiny-house-building-checklist/ If you design the frame of the structure properly it can become a structural part of the chassis, eliminating any need to reinforce it.
Consider a steel frame which is often used in housing now.
Be aware of making it too heavy!
