I am a big fan of Paul's research into incandescent lamps. And I forget where I read it, but he mentioned a bulb where you could replace the actual coil making the life of the bulb considerably longer. Would anyone know where to get such bulbs?

That stuck in my mind as well, but my understanding was that they are no longer available and haven't been for a long time.

you can take a standard incadescent, and hit the coil with a high power laser.
