Wisteria new growth is brown??

Hi all!
I have a quick question I couldn’t fine the answer to online.  I have a potted wisteria plant that I plan to eventually put outside.  It has struggled for most its life at this point (I am still learning how to care for).  Anyways, the newest growth on it is all brown.  It isn’t like it had green leaves and then they turned brown, rather its newest growth came out brown.  Does anyone know if this is normal or if not, what this little guy needs?  It’s mostly lived indoors so far if that helps..

I am sorry your plant is having problems.

Have you done anything recently that could have caused this?

Did the plant recently get too dry?

Have you seen any bugs on the plant?

Could it be root damage?

I am hoping someone will chime in to help you.

I think your wisteria is fine. Our neighbour has one and it's trying very hard to invade our "bush reserve" along the driveway. All the new growth looks like this, sort of brown and weird, and then suddenly you've got a 3m vine wrapped around your ankle and it won't let go. We treat it as a noxious weed in these parts, but they sure are pretty when they are flowering.

Hah!  Thanks for in the insight.  You are right.. the brown leaves turned green.  Strange.  It’s funny, I hear about how crazy these plants can get but I’m having the hardest time getting this one going.  Could just be the arid climate I live in.

I bet you're right. We're definitely not arid here.
