Loquat
trees are tropical fruit trees that are beloved by many gardeners, the tree can grow up to 25 feet in height, and produce a sweet, tangy fruit that is delicious when eaten fresh or made into jams. Starting Loquat from seeds indoors is easy.
If you want to grow a loquat tree from fruit you already have, you need to start by pulling the seeds out of the fruit. Most loquats have three to five seeds in them.
Loquat seeds are fairly large and brown, and wont need to be stratified or scored them like some other seeds do. simply dry them for a couple of days and they are ready for planting. Another option for loquat seeds is to purchase them.
After planting the seeds. Germination time is about 30 days. So be patient and expect to wait several years for the tree to bear fruit.
If your goal is to get fruit from the tree, you're going to have to wait a while. Fruit may arrive as early as 4 to 5 years after planting. You can even plant this amazing tree in a container and grow it as a beautiful houseplant.
