Hey folks - in hopes of winning a pie, I'm sharing this photo (from last year) of my young gardenia in the early stages of its bonsai training! If you're curious about bonsai (or my unbridled love of pie) feel free to ask away.

Cheers!
Luke

Wyomiles - great to hear you're interested in the art of bonsai! It's brought me an immense amount of satisfaction, patience and health.

You should try it!

I've written a few basic starter/overvew articles here: http://lukepinneo.wordpress.com/2010/09/28/bonsai-for-health-and-patience/ and here: http://mylittletrees.wordpress.com/

I also highly recommend any and all of Colin Lewis' books. He's a great man, and wonderful educator. http://www.amazon.com/Growing-Displaying-Bonsai-Colin-Lewis/dp/0806976535/ref=la_B001K84D4U_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1363310556&sr=1-5

Cheers and good luck! Feel free to drop me a line anytime! luke@lukepinneo.com
