Newbie question. Any thoughts on using sagebrush as an HK base - not the fresh stuff just the dried and dead stuff laying around. Lots of it out here and I hope to avoid burning it.

Howdy Mr Cook, welcome to permies. I have been scraping some sagebrush into long rows/piles on my land. Not really a hugel yet but I thought I might add some dead aspen over time and see what happens.
