I bought the plans from Relaxshacks.com.
It was some work, but it has turned out pretty nice.
I still have a few small things to do.

Nice work, Ryan! And is that a matching A-frame outhouse behind it?

nice unit, what was your final cost?

Yes, that is an outhouse, and the cost to build this little cabin including art, stove, bedding was around 2100.00

I like it! Perfect summer accomodations.

I'm guessing you are in a mild climate; otherwise you would have included a giant woodpile in the photo.

Is this your primary residence? How did you gain access to the land?

We are in Tennessee.  It's just a play cabin, a sort of party hangout.
I wanted to build one and got busy.
Our home is maybe 70 feet away.

It's finished except for cleaning up the mess. Oh, and I gotta fashion a better system for holding up the convertible side window.

4

It is 8x10. The height is around 11ft.

I have to admit that in my ecosystem, I'd put some sort of a gutter at the bottom of the liftable wall so that bit of the deck didn't rot out in one season. I might inset it so that it isn't a tripping hazard.

Nice! It's a hard shell tent with services and a comfy bed. And a sweet landscape to watch the natural light as it moves and shifts, and later you might actually see stars - whoa!. The perfect escape from the sterile city.

I have ordered plans to build a wooden yurt. It looks considerably more difficult,  and really, I'd sort of like to build another A frame.

And with shrubbery added.

I did NOT cry! It was this tiny ad that cried. The tiny ad is a crier, not me.
