After a cross-country trip, my wife and I realized just how good the land was where we come from - western New York. We can grow so much here.

We moved out to the country, and are going to try to green up the horse pastures and provide some of our own food. I'm interested in soil building, and getting as many types of plants onto our 2.5 acres as I can manage.

I'm really looking forward to getting on with this spring.

Welcome Tim! It sounds like you're in my neck of the woods. I agree, we are lucky to have such great soil and weather to farm. That's why so many before us have settled and worked this area. Since you're so close, if you need any seed or plants to start your permaculture garden, I would be happy to help. Best wishes on the project!

Thanks Rick, I appreciate that. The dandelions are coming up, it's a sure sign that it won't be long now.

Oooo, ah, that's how it starts. Later there's running and screaming and tiny ads.
