The area where The Lady hangs clothes looks rather like a shrapnel field of shattered clothepins. DOn't even get me going on those cheap plastic things, yes I know, I know. The wood ones, however, are quite capable of triggering a string of language that really need not be repeated in this venue, when they either snap, or let go.

Is there such a thing as a sure-fire, darn-near indestructible clothespin? Ideally something that's not going to fail when the wind comes through with a bit of a frenzy?

I got some old-school style clothes pins from Lehmans a few years ago and they work great

I like these things. They're pretty indestructible and at least as strong as the other kind.

tried em all , and nothing works better than the old mousetrap ones in the Arizona sun.

even the high end plastic ones with grip pads don't hold jeans in the wind, and are VERY susceptible to uv damage.

I even leave the mousetrap ones on the line, to "thin" em down by weathering, and then they grip even better.

YMMV

Kevin's Quality Clothespins at

http://ladyandthecarpenter.com/lady-and-the-carpenter-store/kevins-quality-clothespins/

just found out about these.

they hold up a QUILT on the clothesline!

And they are sturdy enough that you will pass them on to someone else when you pass on.

this video shows them holding clothes on clothesline in the wind (from their website)

Gail, I saw this thread in the recent topics and was going to post a link to Kevin's clothespins.

Glad to see you beat me to it. Nice to know the word is getting out about these great clothespins.
