Mystery Tree

This is probably a very stupid question, but I have a tree, probably a common one. Where I am there are about 5-10 trees of this kind. But I don't know what it is.
This guy was getting covered by vines and I saved it. But it still is hanging. Was thinking of propping it up, or just letting things go as they will. In this space I'm going for a hands-off approach, only opening things up a bit, identifying what's there, and attacking the vines that are attacking the trees.

That looks like a purple-leaf plum to me. The ones I'm familiar with are mainly ornamental and produce small sour fruit. You might be able to topwork it to more useful things (other plums or perhaps peaches and apricots), or if there is room leave it as a bee and bird plant and a pollinator.....
