I could use some pallets in useable condition.

I need to get my shiitake logs on pallets to move them under shelter, as the warm spring rains are bringing a bloom of trichoderma mold. I am between Longview and Astoria on the north side of the river. The Coast Range and the Willapa Hills are too wet for keeping mushroom logs in the weather. I am learning as I go along, and this is a lesson of my first effort. I don't want to lose all the work of drilling 15,000 holes, filling them with sawdust spawn, and covering them with hot wax.

My truck is a fuel hog, so I am hoping for a nearby source. I know people who get all the pallets they can use from truckers by being near the end of delivery routes. Unfortunately, they are too far from me to share theirs. Thanks in advance for any help.

This might sound incredibly simple, but have you tried Craigslist or freecycle?

Nothing very close on Craigslist. And those ads pretty much just said what building to look behind. I can't be driving the truck eighty or a hundred miles to see if I got there first or not. I haven't heard of freecycle. I will check that out now.

Thanks for the response.

I remember before the flying monkeys became such an invasive species. We had tiny ads then.
