One of the high priority tasks is to get a workbench created.
In 2001 I built a workbench out of 2x6s. It was an excellent workbench. And was designed to have a little more height to it. The key component was that my compound miter saw was built into the workbench so that all of the workbench was level with the cutting surface of the saw. This turned out to be exceptionally brilliant and I used the saw for a LOT of projects.
In 2008 I moved into a community and did a similar thing - this time with a big stack of 2x4s. Here is a crappy picture of the bench under construction and another picture after construction.
