Two leaseholds available in West Virginia

Our small land trust on a ridge in West Virginia only has four leaseholds--and two of them are now vacant. Both have housing on them. As this is a land trust, we don't own the land, we get a lifetime lease if approved by the board. But the improvements--mostly housing-- is owned, and can be sold to an approved new lessee. These are both bargains at $9000 and $10,000. The way it works is, if after some email exchanges we are mutually interested, you move in for a six-month trial period. If at the end of that period, you are still enthused and so are we, we vote to sign a lease with you. But I'll mention two  issues up front that can be barriers--we all have composting toilets, so if you can't live without a flush toilet, this place is not for you. And, this is a community--it's loose-knit, we have a formal meeting once a year, each leasehold decides on its own projects-- but it is a community that shares some things, so if what you really want is a private homestead, entirely controlled by you, you need to look elsewhere. We seek people ready to work toward some degree of self-sufficiency in gardening, perhaps livestock, etc.
