I'm a beginner. Started my garden as a hobby when my wife got cancer last year. I've already lost my squash this year due to a bug called SVB. Now on my cucumbers I am seeing the bug in the attached photo. I've tried soap solution, neem oil and sevin insect spray. Any ideas??
Maybe they are the nymphs of certain squash bugs. I have those in gray or green colors but there are red ones too. The nymphs would cluster and suck the sap out of the leaves. Usually when I see a squash leaf turning yellow and wilting, I immediately fold it over and squeeze to kill the nymphs hiding underneath. But it's better to kill the adult bugs early or get rid of the eggs before they hatch.
