Lime safety and baking

I ignored the warning about gloves, etc. when working with lime, because I would always just rinse my hands in water after getting some on them.

Yesterday, however, I baked bread in the morning. A few tiny bits of the dough clung pretty tightly to my knuckles when I started then work on plastering. Now I have a few tiny lime burns on my knuckles. Seems the lime water absorbed into the dough, and didn't wash out when I washed my hands in water.

Just a little warning for anyone combining baking and plastering!
