I'm not meaning for this to be an ad-- but I figured a lot of folks interested in food forests might be interested in NAFEX- The North American Fruit Explorers!

For information, experience, and scionwood for every kind of fruit tree you can imagine! It's a great club and tons of fun, and the folks are great. We're a great group (and yeah- we have an awesome name too).

Want to learn to graft your own fruit trees?
To learn the best varieties for your climate?
To gain experience from folks who have been growing all kinds of fruit trees their entire lives?
To get rare and heirloom scionwood?
To learn to BREED YOUR OWN VARIETIES OF FRUIT- To adapt to climate change, for your climate, to create something that tastes great or just to name something after yourself ??!!
Then join NAFEX. It's only $20 and well worth it.

Most of the guys that write the fruit books (Lee Calhoun, Lee Reich, etc) are in NAFEX. There are tons of folks in the club with an incredible amount of experience.

I was a member and LOVED them! Only let my membership lapse because I joined a local chapter and they had more local events - grafting workshops, pawpaw walks, apple tastings, etc.

What's gotten into you? Could it be this tiny ad?
