Rice rotation crops

What crops can you rotate into a rice paddy if you already grew the rice. can you put taro in?

Taro is a heat-loving crop, so if you're looking for something to put in the rice paddy through the cool season, taro is not the way to go.

Fava is a great cool-season crop that will give you a yield and put a lot of biomass into the ground.

thank you.. my goal is mostly to keep the crawfish going so the ducks can eat it. or whatever else comes up in the rice paddy.
