Careers in Appropriate Technology?

Hi there!

I would love to have a career involving appropriate technology. More specifically I would like to be involved in the actual implementation of appropriate technology (as opposed to working in research). What kind of people do these jobs? Engineers? Teachers? Coordinators?

So are you thinking of going to school to learn these skills or do you have the skills already and just looking for opportunities?
