I'm in the saving phase of my farm plan http://pipemanmusic.blogspot.com/2013/02/500-year-farm.html and of course always looking for extra income to help my dream.

I've heard lots of mention of Permies finding their niche and I'm sure I have something to offer.

I'm Pipe Fitter/welder by trade with 14 years experience in commercial and light industrial HVAC work. For the last 8 years I've been doing professional CAD design for a mechanical contractor, mostly focusing around hospitals.

I'm considered the company's expert in steam system and fabrication processes and I'm well versed in engineered drawings and design.

So, I'd like to offer up my CAD services to the greater Permie community.

Maybe you have a product design you want professional drawings of, or a client that wants your permaculture design laid out for them on a professional looking map. I've done some drawings, pro bono, for a number of open source hardware projects including Open Source Ecology and an Open Source Vehicle project. Even if it's as simple as floor layouts for a housing project so you can get a building permit I'm more than capable of delivering.

So, I want to offer that up as my possible first niche and promise that I'm realistic, professional and negotiable on rates.

Dan
