Non flying hen (or almost...)

All is in the title!
I do not want permanent tractors as I find them too small for hens.
I would like some sort of paddocks and move my hens.

But I do not want them where they are unwanted !!!
(this I guess I do not have to explain more haha)

And I do not want to transform a nive natural place into a bunker full of iron.
I have terraces, so I can prevent them from going.... horizontally at least.

Is it as simple as
"all meat breed do not fly"
or "all big hens do not fly"

Is there any inconveniency in poor flyers? (I am not puzzled by a lot of predators)
I mean, are they less natural, more sensitive to plagues/parasites/diseases?

Big ones with short wings can't fly. Like cochins, orpingtons, australorps, brahmas. They will if they really really want to - like if they're used to free range and you try to pen them, but mostly they don't.
