Hello all.
Im building up a community garden in my village (Israel).
On the site there is an 4-5 year old healthy olive tree so I want to build a guild around it.
I was looking for a cover plant and I think I found it: Tropaeolum majus.
http://www.ag.auburn.edu/hort/landscape/BEDDING_tropaeolum.html
Seems to be almost perfact:
1. you can eat it.
2. It bringes good insecset and birds.
3. It covers the ground.
4. Its seeds it self every year.
5. I think maybe ever I can make it a mulch crop.
But a downside I see in this plant that it takes over.
My qustion is: if I plant this plant lets say near a Malisa olant, will it kill it? or any other plant?
Thank you very much!
