Hello all.
I live in israel.
Im now planing a community garden and I wish to plant some grape vines (people are growing vines for about 3000 years or more, I think they knew whats good ^_^).
I read a lot here about what is good to plant with the grape vine (if you wish, I would like to hear your opinion), and I read that its good to put some roses with them.
Now my qustion is how to do it right:
How do I plant the rose vine next to the grape vine so the rose vine wont take over and kill it?

Thanks!

Here in France they know a thing about growing vines too . It's quite common to find roses growing at the end of a row of vines the reason for this is that it is used as a sign if root aphids are about and a treatment is required as the root aphids attack the roses first.
that's what I was told

Gilad - I'm no expert, but I've seen single roses planted at the end of a row of grapes. I believe that the roses can indicate some kind of disease before it damages the grapes ( - dredging the depth of my long term memory for this). I'm not sure the roses benefit the grapes per se.
