Copy of a post on X, no further details that I know.

BREAKING: Home Depot has started giving out free training to Americans who want to work in HVAC, carpentry, electricity, & construction.

The classes are self-paced and students will earn certifications they can use on their resumes.

THIS IS AWESOME!

It will be conventional construction, which I have problems with at best, but it's possibly worth looking into.

This is a great idea, especially since there seems to be a 'world shortage' of trades-persons.  I really hope that it's not some misguided original poster trying to be smart.  Worth enquiring about with Home Depot in any case.

https://www.pathtopro.com/free-training/

seems legit. the list of programs does involve HVAC, plumbing, welding, etc.
Obviously, self study only goes so far, but for the homesteader/tinkerer/etc, could be useful.
