I’m happy to wave to the folks I already know here… I see a few of you. 🙂

We’re based in Clallam Bay, WA, near Lake Ozette, in the heart of the rainforest and close to the Makah Reservation.

Our community currently includes about 23 adults (ages 18–83), across four families and several independent members.

The founders are Native American:

Larry is a Makah Elder
I am a Mapuche Machi

This is a grounded, capable, and independent group.

What We’re Building

We seeking to develop food-growing systems for vegetables, meat, and long-term sustainability.

~0.5 acre at the central hub (actively usable)
Access to surrounding yards and privately owned land within the community
Potential access to ~40 acres (10 cleared) near Joyce, WA

We already preserve food (fish, berries, fruit), forage (mushrooms, wild berries), and live close to the land.
Now we’re ready to expand into skilled, intentional food production.

Who We’re Looking For

We are specifically looking for people who:

Have real experience growing food (permaculture, organic methods, regenerative practices, or similar)
Can take the initiative and help design and implement systems
Are financially independent (or able to fully support themselves)
Can arrange their own housing (RV space at the hub may be possible for the right fit)
Are respectful, honest, and community-minded

We’ve had interest from people who liked the idea of growing food but didn’t yet have the skills or stability to follow through.
At this stage, we are looking for doers who already know their craft.

Community Culture
No alcohol or recreational drug use at the hub or gatherings
Preference for teetotalers (this is important and intentional)
Sacred plant ceremonies (e.g. iboga, ayahuasca) are understood in their traditional, non-recreational context
No interest in being “saved,” debated, or convinced of anything
Your personal beliefs are your business — how you show up and what you can do matters more

Living Structure
Members live independently (20 minutes to 4 hours from the hub)
One caretaker currently lives at the hub
RV placement at the hub may be available for the right person/couple/family
Yes, we have internet
We also have a well-equipped shop (garage with a wide range of tools) that is used daily, primarily by some of the men in the community, for building, repairs, art, and hands-on projects that support the community. If you enjoy working with tools, you’ll fit right in.

We are not currently set up to support individuals with significant health or care needs.
Our elders are active and independent.

Weekly Life & Activities

This is not just a project — it’s a lived community.

Foraging (berries, mushrooms, herbs) - seasonal.
Food preservation
Fishing (non-recreational)
Hunting (non-recreational)
Hiking, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding
Sunday dinners & frequent celebrations
Business incubator (weekly)
DnD group (yes, really)
Monthly Enlightenment class
Rock hounding
Placing crystals in the greenhouse because...

We also share life with chickens, dogs, cats, a rabbit… and a crow.

Final Notes

If you have pets, a spouse/partner, kids, or you’re starting fresh — all welcome, if it’s a fit.

If you’re looking for a high-caliber, grounded community where your skills matter, and you’re ready to help build something real, reach out.

P.S. There’s sasquatch in the area. They are watching
P.P.S. we have a broken solar system we couldn't figure out - project.  Well water and rain water capture.
