Long time lurker, first time poster. I have been working on my farm for a number of years now but realize that I don't have time or experience to farm it at this time. I figure if I'm not going to be able to make it productive, better that someone else can.
Area available to lease is from 40 to 100 acres in the Augusta area of Georgia, USA. There isn't a dwelling on the property but if you want to stay close by there is an RV park down the road with reasonable rates. There is a perimeter fence but it is not cross fenced. Area is sectorized into 10-15 acre areas by firebreaks which act as accessways via ATV. These aren't manicured pastures but I think forage is decent.
Lease terms can be pretty flexible. I've never done something like this so I'm not exactly sure what a prospective lessee would want to know. Ask whatever you'd like and I'll answer to the best of my ability. The land is available as grazing land preferably but could be used as cropland too with the right plan.
I actively work on the land when I can afford to. This mostly consists of native tree, shrub, and grass planting, managing vegetation, conducting soil tests, and controlled burns.
Send me a message and lets talk about what's possible
