Have you ever considered trading city life for a holistic, collaborative environment nestled in the beautiful Oregon Coastal Range? If you desire to engage, create, organize, discuss,, sing, bake, plant, learn, and care about the people you live with, our community might be the place for you.

After the loss of our founding member, we’re in the midst of change. We’re trying to rebuild a community of connection and interdependence and invite others to join us. Trade your energy for room and board by helping with organic gardening, greenhouse tending, animal care, and property maintenance.

We believe important qualities for community living are an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a desire to live authentically.

At Alpha Farm, we view ourselves as caretakers of the earth. We are actively deepening our commitment to permaculture design and restorative land stewardship.
* Earth Care: Regenerative agriculture, organic vegetable gardening, and orchard management.
* People Care: Nurturing a resilient, healthy ecosystem that sustains our physical and emotional needs.
* Fair Share: Mindful resource management, composting, and reducing our ecological footprint.

We operate on the fundamental belief that every member carries equal weight, voice, and value.
* Consensus Decision-Making: We do not use hierarchies; every voice is heard and required for major community choices.
* Equal Opportunity: Every individual has the space to lead projects, learn new skills, and contribute regardless of previous experience.
* Income Sharing: We pool resources and work cooperatively, ensuring that everyone’s basic needs are met equally.

WHAT WE OFFER
* Meaningful Connections: Participate in communal meals and group activities in a kind & joyful atmosphere.
* Hands-on Education: Learn about permaculture practices, eco-living, community building & more.
* Shared Spaces: Everyone has their own private space. Communal buildings include: large farmhouse, office space, art & pottery studio, greenhouse, carpentry workshop, mechanics garage, sauna, etc.

WHAT WE ASK FOR
* A desire to live and work alongside others as a unified household.
* Willingness to pitch in with daily operations like maintaining infrastructure, gardening, feeding chickens, etc.
* A genuine desire to learn cooperative culture and consensus-based living.
