Winter Pruning Techniques Video

I've just finished up a new video on winter pruning techniques for spur bearing fruit trees.
Probably not the right time for anyone here in their summertime but just in case anyone's in
winter like me




What do you guys feel about pruning? Worth the work, good in some situations?

I've seen very productive seedling apple trees on the side of the road that have never been pruned,
but in my experience if trees have been transplanted and pruned,
production gets pretty poor if the pruning isn't kept up.
The trees at my place are espalier, so pruning goes with the territory
I also do tree stuff with community projects in an urban environment.
While I prune for productivity, a big part of it is creating and maintaining trees that are a manageable size/structure.

Nice one! I read about the transplanted trees needing to be pruned (maybe in one of holzers books)
I do like the compact size and aesthetics of a well pruned tree. I'm sure there's space for both if you're working on enough land.
