We're trying out social finance for a building project rather than going to the bank. Kiva Zip is sponsoring us as a trustee in a pilot program for farmers.

Each loan posting has 45 days to fill with backers. If the loan amount is reached within 45 days, the loan is made. If not, then the loan is not granted - not even partially.

We've had great support this first day - hope this begins a new chapter of social finance in the permaculture world!
