Greetings, Permies!
We have a beautiful, 5-acre permaculture farm near Sebastopol CA, a 1.25 hour drive north of San Francisco, with much room for expansion and renovation. Flexible, creative “take over” terms, from direct sale, to lease, to lease/sale, paid stewardship, trade (dwelling for stewardship), etc. Zoned for additional farm family dwellings as well (leach field for 2 additional bedrooms), so a small intentional community is possible! Ran a CSA for 8 years, and confident that selling at farmers markets will pay for expenses and provide a profit.
We started it from scratch 22 years ago and love it, but a bout of acute sciatica tells me I can no longer give each and every plant the TLC it deserves… so looking for new stewards!
The farm is situated atop a Recharge Zone, so never any worries about water, though we always try to conserve. Drip irrigation fully installed.
It lies on a tiered hillside, perfect for permaculture. Berms of plantings followed by swales of grasses. Lots of perennials, fruit & nut trees; raised beds for annuals. Pollinator fodder, hedgerows, etc. Sheet-mulch almost fully installed.
In addition to a three-story strawbale tower, one-bedroom dwelling, there’s a studio with bathroom, a barn, and a rustic greenhouse. Bee hives, hutches, gear. Shade cloth; frost cloth; premium bird cloth, apple press & paraphernalia, etc!
