I offer a fiber camp a couple of times a year....the neat thing about this
course is that we try our hands at a wide variety of applications. This is a good way to try out a lot of different fiber crafts as well as processing and dyeing without committing to a lot of different workshops or lengthy series. Information is below, please feel free to ask questions!
Yarnarchy Fiber Camp! August 16th and 17th, 10am-3pm
Interested in a fiber arts but you aren't sure if you're a
knitter or a felter? Have you been bitten by the fiber bug
but want to know more? Yarnarchy Fiber Camp is great
way to explore a wide range of fiber arts! Students will be
introduced to knitting, wet felting, needle felting, spinning,
dyeing, fiber processing, and weaving. At least one
project
in each area will be started and/or completed, and students
will go home with materials, tools, and supplies to finish
projects and start a few new ones. Some of the materials
include bamboo knitting needles, yarn, drop spindle, fiber,
wood weaving board, felting kit with foam block, felting
needles, bamboo mat, and much more including a tote bag
to carry all of your new toys.
$200 includes $75 material fee.
Class limited to 8, so reserve your spot soon! Camp will be held at Finney Farm, located an hour from Bellingham or two hours from Seattle. The farm also offers camping for a small fee if you'd like to bring a tent and save on drive time.
