Help Us Build an Off-Grid Community From the Ground Up ️

Hi my name is Casey and for the better part of 3 years I have been on a journey to build a fully sustainable off grid community for like minded individuals.

A place to live differently. A place to build something together.

I’m raising funds to turn an ambitious idea into reality: creating a self-sufficient, off-grid community where people can get back to a simpler way of living, spend more time outdoors, and build something meaningful together.

The vision is to acquire a suitable piece of rural land and develop it into a community of individual camping/rental sites surrounded by nature.

Rather than creating another conventional subdivision, the goal is to create something more flexible and community-oriented — a place where people could stay seasonally, spend weekends, disconnect from the city, or eventually become part of a community built around self-reliance and sustainability.

What we’re trying to build

The long-term vision includes:

* Off-grid campsites and rental sites
* Solar power and other renewable-energy systems
* Shared facilities and gathering spaces
* Water systems and appropriate sanitation
* Gardens and food-growing areas
* Firewood and outdoor recreation areas
* Space for workshops and hands-on projects
* Affordable seasonal accommodation
* A community where people can learn practical off-grid skills

The concept is to begin small and grow responsibly as funding, land, infrastructure and approvals allow.

What will the money be used for?

The first goal is getting the project off the ground.

Funds raised would help with things such as:

Land acquisition / securing suitable land
Legal, surveying and professional costs
Permits, planning and environmental assessments
Road and access improvements
Water and sanitation infrastructure
Solar and electrical systems
Basic site preparation
Tools and construction materials
Initial shared facilities

The exact allocation will depend on the land ultimately acquired and the requirements of the applicable jurisdiction.

❤️ Why I’m doing this

I believe there are a lot of people who want something different.

Not everyone wants to spend their entire life working to pay for an expensive house in a city.

Some people want a little land, some privacy, nature, community and the opportunity to build things with their own hands.

That’s the kind of place I want to create.

I’m not pretending this will happen overnight. This is the beginning of a long-term project.

Every contribution, no matter how small, helps move the idea one step closer to becoming a physical place.

And if you can’t contribute financially, sharing this fundraiser could be just as valuable.
