Hi everyone, I'm writing from the Billings, Montana area.

Aalvairy Groove Place is a plan for a small piece of rural land with a farm stand and a cottage food kitchen. Fresh produce, breads, jams and herbal teas would be grown and made right there and offered to neighbors. The plan is to start with one home, one farm stand and open ground, then add gardens, orchards, greenhouses and pollinator-friendly spaces over time. Part of what we grow will go to food donations and affordable local food.

The cottage food side is already registered in Montana and gets started this November. What's missing is the land.

I'm raising money for the land through GoFundMe:

Donating or sharing the link both help. I'd also love advice from anyone here who has bought rural land for a homestead or started a farm stand. What do you wish you'd known when you started?
