Hello everyone!
My wife Courtney and I live in southeastern Connecticut, and we’re hoping to connect with someone who might be looking for a family to help care for, maintain, and eventually carry forward their homestead or small farm.
We’re especially interested in connecting with an older property owner who has spent years building something special and wants to see their land, home, gardens, and hard work preserved for the next generation.
A little about us:
I’m a Connecticut-licensed Master Electrician with over 20 years of experience in electrical work, construction, maintenance, and project management. I’m comfortable maintaining buildings, repairing equipment, improving infrastructure, and tackling the many challenges that come with caring for a property.
My wife, Courtney, is a registered nurse with extensive experience caring for people. She’s also passionate about homesteading and has hands-on knowledge of gardening, planting and growing infrastructure, caring for animals, canning, preserving food, and running our family farm stand.
We’re raising our children with an appreciation for family, faith, hard work, and caring for others.
Our dream is to find a homestead where we can put our skills and energy toward something meaningful while building a lasting relationship with someone who shares those values.
We’re not necessarily looking for a traditional real estate transaction. We’re interested in exploring creative, mutually beneficial possibilities, such as:
Long-term property caretaking and stewardship
Helping an older landowner maintain their home, gardens, animals, and property
Shared living arrangements where everyone has adequate space and privacy
A gradual transition of responsibilities
A potential long-term lease, purchase, or farm succession arrangement
We’re open to sharing a home with an older owner if the arrangement is comfortable and appropriate for everyone involved.
Our preference is southeastern Connecticut, especially within reasonable driving distance of Old Lyme, where our church and community are located.
Most importantly, we’re hoping to develop a genuine relationship built on trust, respect, and a shared desire to preserve something worthwhile.
If you’re a landowner considering your property’s future, or you know someone who might appreciate a conversation, we’d love to connect.
Thank you for taking the time to read our introduction.
