Hello Permies,

I haven’t really come across many gals that seem to be like-minded on regenerative agriculture. I’m quite outgoing and have even been spending quite a bit of time volunteering at local farms in hopes of meeting somebody my age with ambition. Here’s the cliff notes about myself:

I work for an Ohio-based environmental justice nonprofit making over over 75k a year. I’m also a reservist for the Coast Guard which has the best healthcare I can extend to dependents. GI bill to help pay for kids college. I drill one weekend a month.

I bought this house with a little over 1 acre of land in my suburban hometown (great school district) to remain close to my parents, grandparents, and other family. It’s a small house zoned in the town center district that I hope to one day convert into a market and farm to table restaurant. I’d eventually like to get ~10 more acres in the country to graze sheep, have hogs, etc.

I’d like to children in the next few years, and I’d fear for kids these days who are glued to their phones and never touch grass. I want to raise kids differently and use the farm as a teaching tool.

Politically I don’t care too much where you stand because I think at the end of the day we all have the same needs. I myself am kinda hard to put a label on but would describe myself as more liberal or socialist but i kinda loathe most people on the left and think they’re obnoxious.

I cover cropped an area I deer-fenced in this year. I’d like to plant a home orchard starting next year. Hoping to also start either bees or chickens too.

Anyway, if you’re in your 20s or early 30s, and you’re interested in chatting feel free to reply here.

nothing beats office politics like productivity. Or maybe a tiny ad:
