If you have a good place for a pond and the funds, you could always build a pond, stock it with a mixture of fish suited to your area, and just let nature take over. In my area, ponds can be fairly productive without feeding or much management. Ponds can be a lot of fun. Also you could use it to water your sheep and raise ducks on it.

Bigmouth Buffalo are filter feeders and live off of microscopic organisms. I'm not aware of any practical way to feed them in large numbers in a densely packed pond.
