Just wanted to follow up on the above question....I keep looking around for the answer and can't find it. What specific species should be planted for a living fence? I usually buy my trees from the MO dept of conservation, and the only type they offer is something called a sandbar willow, and it doesn't look like the correct shape.
Is it just me or does a living willow fence seem like i would be signing up for an awful lot of pruning that has to happen every year.
At this point that is what's stopping me. The fear of having to prune the whole thing all the time.
Can anyone with experience having one speak to that?
Thanks!
