There's a cress thing going on round here...
watercress is by far the most beloved cress in NZ.
Unfortunately it is basically aquatic, and fiddly to grow.
land cress is my watercress alternative. It grows anywhere, under any circumstances.
If it annoys you, eat more, or compost it!
It it has big, tender leaves which look quite similar, with a good peppery 'cress' flavour;
it doesn't have watercress' robust, crunchy, cookable stalks though.
I just eat it raw.
It grows really fast, and while I haven't tried it out, I bet it would work well in a chicken fodder rotation
