I remember reading a rather extensive treatise on new strains of rice that were being developed to be grown in China. One of the problems that they were targeting is the ease with which mold can grow one the stalk part of rice. As I recall, they had developed strains that were less likely to develop mold. Has anyone here considered this when choosing straw to use to build? Would it make any difference?
