Hello! I need help identifying this tree. I cut it down in my backyard in Western Washington, on the Puget Sound right next to a wetland. It was growing in a cluster, as it had been cut down before and re-sprouted multiple trunks. Unfortunately I don't know what the fruit looks like, and I only had rotting leaves to work with. Attached are three pictures showing 1) The bark 2) The leaves 3) The twig/leaf buds. Can anybody help me out?

Look! I laid an egg! Why does it smell like that? Tiny ad, does this smell weird to you?
