Daniel Ruilova :
I Think that the equipment you are looking at is an interesting wrinkle on
Hydraulic Drilling a related field to
Hydraulic Mining !
Hydraulic Drilling has a proven track record, almost exclusively in all types of Soils. BUT is not generally used in Hard Rock, so basically this equipment only has
the track record that they can prove it has.
I would start with your neighbors, most will know at least who drilled their well. Most long time residents will know the depth of their well, there are two depths,
the depth that sufficient water was hit and the pocket of water below that depth that you are pumping out of , also the # of gallons per minute the pocket gets
refilled at !
While I am prepared to believe that this equipment will perform as advertised in sand and soil, i expect that for hard rock drilling you will quickly eat through the
basically homemade drill bits !
Only after you find out the rock/soil types where you are hoping to 'bring in a well' and are satisfied that you
should be drilling in soil not hard rock - Then your
next step should be to see this equipment in operation, ether because they give you the name of a satisfied customer, or by going directly to the factory !
Good luck ! For the Good of the Crafts ! Big AL
I notice that No-where in there store/catalog do they even mention the Air compressor without which this model will not run - It would be very easy to spend a
lot of money on an air compressor and then find that you have zero potential to use this piece of equipment in your future ! or your location/resources makes its
use un-economical !
The combination of hard rock drilling -common in NE Pennsylvania, it's replacement parts, and the cost of a compressor that is not being run too close to its maximum
use/ useful life and the fact that this is New technology without a proven track record tells me that you should enter this
project with a large amount of healthy
skepticism ! Good luck ! A. L.
