Organic Gardening
An approach to gardening that works with nature, not against her.
It's safe to say that interest in gardening without artificial chemicals has boomed in the past decade. This has happened due to a greater awareness of the effect on the environment and of safety in the garden. Also,
people have developed a desire to produce food free from chemical inputs. This
course aims to bring together the aspects of modern gardening which mesh with organic principles. We want to make this way of gardening as feasible as possible so people don't have any excuse not to garden organically. There is a lot of emphasis on understanding soil and how to build its fertility naturally, as well as effective, chemical-free methods to control weeds, pests and diseases. You will also learn how to grow a wide range of vegetables, fruit and herbs organically, benefits of greenhouses and the history of the organic movement.
