The drop in temperature has left me pondering the long nine months ahead. What do you do to keep warm, find local food, and have fun during the majority of the year?
Personally I shop at the farmer's market for as long as possible and I hope to learn how to can this year. If there are any brave souls, then ghost stories are usually a good way to go, especially with a nice, communally cooked feast.
I love the Missoula Farmer's Market and Out To Lunch At Caras Park as far as family friendly things to do that are pretty easy on the pocket book. I'm not a huge fan of the schedule on the Missoulian site so usually write down any other events of note that will be going on in the near future from the Missoula Independent or Entertainer.
We did Pet Fest just a couple weeks ago and the next one on our list is probably Hemp Fest on Sept. 11th.
