Ok, there is a serious lack of community notifications in place if the first time I'd even heard about this concert was the strange noise flowing over the river last night. I watch local news every day and even hop on the Missoulian website almost daily. How is it possible that I missed even one single mention of this until it was over? I've heard about marijuana and wolves every day for the past 8 weeks but nothing about a concert with Bob Dylan? Something isn't right with the local news!
I listened to the concert from the brush by the river and was very surprised when I learned that the promoter had actually leased all the property between the stadium and the water. The Missoula City Council had voted on it and decided to allow it. This is what I was told by the patrolling officer. Does anyone have any more information about this? How often does this sort of thing happen?
That was last night! I thought it wasn't until later this month. Definitely a big miss from local news sources. I heard about it on facebook... of course.
What the heck? Did anyone know The Black Crows were supposed to be near here yesterday too? I never heard anything until today on the news they said they didn't show up haha.
I have been hearing about these concerts for months now on the radio. 103.1 The Trail--they were also cutting tickets in half (from $55.00 to $25.00) the day before the show for University students. Also, full back page of Independent was dedicated to Bob Dylan/Mellencamp concert a few weeks ago.
From what I heard of personal reveiws of the concert, you didn't miss much. I heard Bob Dylan really sucked.
