It's officially here, the first oppressively cloudy and cold day of the season. I can barely see past the front porch...so what's a girl to do?
Let's share some of our favorite activities for the fall...

I spent yesterday afternoon doing crafts, mending and beading. I came up with a great super easy activity: Make an apron from a dish towel. It serves two purposes in one: there are never any clean towels in the kitchen for me to wipe wet hands on, and it will keep my jeans clean.
First, try to find a dish towel with an interesting pattern or perhaps a bit of embroidery. fold the top over and tuck it in. Stitch the sides and center at least (if you're feeling lazy) or all the way across the base of the fold. Pick a nice ribbon to string through and put a few stitches in each end so it doesn't unravel. If you want to get fancy, try adding your initials or a pocket.

The cold weather comes on pretty quickly but Halloween usually marks when it gets really cold and usually snowy.

We like to play video and board games when the kids aren't in school and as always try to keep up on the chores.  There's no shortage of laundry and dishes haha.
