Hi, i was wondering if anyone knows of any salt tolerant plants, or salt absorbing plants? I am currently replacing a grove of tamerask trees, also know as salt ceder, and am looking for some plants to prepare the soil before i replace the trees. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
River

River,

I often see four wing saltbush growing in the same areas as salt cedar. Salt brush is a woody stemmed shrub that grows quickly and produces a lot of seed. It is a good browse shrub for livestock too.

River,

If you want a grass that should do well try Alkali Sacaton.
