It is a quarter past 7 in the morning. I hear shots. Several in a row. And then from half a mile away from those shots I hear several more. And then from two miles from that I hear several more in a row.
Either I'm in the middle of a long distance hatfield and mccoy situation, or it is the begiing of hunting season - and the way to hunt these days is to take six shots in a row instead of one.
Hunting season for deer doesn't start until the 21-23 of October. Waterfowl season did start today on the 2nd and that's pretty popular in Stevensville/Hamilton area. Six shots in a row could be someone using a 10 gauge shotgun and trying to hit some geese without wanting to use a hunting blind or get too close to the vicious beasts haha.
