COB PROJECT CAMPUS is looking for the next garden intern and or campus project leader. We are looking for a single to come to campus and help us get the gardens set up for this 2016 year. Your skills are important and will need to include but not limited to garden bed building and prep, seed starting and care, transplanting, garden maintenance and harvesting, helping build small out buildings and a tiny primitive campus kitchen built with pallets and cast off items. We prefer strong and able folks with plenty of permaculture and gardening knowledge, some light construction building abilities and some ongoing skills with repurposed materials like pallets.
We are currently hoping for an individual that would grow food in trade for staying on this small primitive camping style property in their own private accommodations. This is a permaculture campus in the making and things tend to be more primitive unless you bring certain amenities along with you in your camper or travel trailer. Water is available but electric power would be provided only by your own solar panel or wind power generator. There is currently a solar hot water primitive camp shower available as well as an outhouse. We are looking for a 3 month commitment starting in early spring 2016. There is no winter camping available at this campus yet. We prefer no pets but may consider a contained pet. We do not need uncontrolled pet type animals as they often do not distinguish between okay areas and the gardens we would prefer they stayed out of. No cigarettes or alcohol will be permitted. We would entertain a work trade with the right person who has their own trailer or self contained living apparatus. Send your letter of interest to cobprojectcampus(at)mail.com Please keep the initial contact brief and to the point of this post. We will ask you to send a resume if you seem like a likely candidate. Thank you for understanding our needs concerning this building stage of campus.

All produce grown in the community gardens gets donated to food poor groups like The Family Kitchen in Bend. Produce grown in the campus gardens will be on the share crop plan that can be discussed. Since so many different people have different needs we are willing to work with the right person or persons to get what Cob Project Campus is looking for. www.cobprojectcampus.org
