Agra Wrap Bed Roll

Here in Dairy Land there are a lot of silage tubes and hills covered with a black inside and white outside heavy plastic Ag Wrap .. tough as nails .. for free if you ask .. and blowing in the wind if you don't.

I use them to cover my wood and if big enough to cover a "odds and ends" hay stack. But I got to thinking about making a bed roll using it as an outside wrap .. strong, free, and light weight. I got some sixty inch charcoal colored blizzard cloth at Jo Ann's eight feet long for $22 and I'm testing it to make a bed roll with. I can get some foam for a mattress pretty cheap .. who knows .. some day it could come in handy.

The bed roll part would be about four by eight feet. I will cut the Agri Wrap 16 feet long and ten wide plus some extra length to the 16  to fold back to make a shelter tarp for snow, wind or rain.

Some ultra-light backpacking enthusiasts use bubble wrap as a bed roll.
