I have a king oyster culture just starting out, and I can see threads of mycelium branching out from the spawn into the agar. Curiously enough, when I looked at the agar with the threads in it under a microscope, I didn't see any mycelium. I did, however, see a bunch of specks and one object which I am guessing is dust. Are the specks bacteria?
